The World development, by Dubai-based major real estate developer Nakheel, consists of 300 artificially constructed islands making up a 300,000 square foot archipelago on the Gulf Ocean. The islands are located 100 metres apart from each other.There have been several high profile investors associated with the World Islands. The Jumeirah Palm island will feature themed hotels, three types of villas (Signature Villas, Garden Homes and Canal Cove Town Homes), apartment buildings, beaches, marinas, restaurants, and a variety. The Palm Jumeirah are artificial archipelago created using land reclamation by Nakheel, a company owned by the Dubai government in United Arab Emirates. The Palm Jumeirah is in the shape of a palm tree.
